Ryan Nugent

Highlights: Ryan obtained a juris doctor degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, CA, with a focus on entertainment law. Since being admitted to the State Bar of California in 2018, he has worked for major entertainment companies, gaining a broad range of experience on matters involving talent, unions, content production and distribution, intellectual property, corporate entities and many more areas of law.

While attending Florida State University, Ryan worked for the New Orleans Saints as a business & marketing intern for 3 seasons, before landing a full-time position with the Sporting Kansas City MLS franchise.

Relevant areas of expertise:

• Licensing agreements including merchandising, consumer products, publishing, digital & interactive licenses (video games, NFT's, etc.), NIL licensing for talent, and other related agreements.

• Creating, registering and maintaining corporate entities in various states, including holding entities and loanout entities to furnish the services of talent.

• Extensive knowledge of intellectual property rights, right of publicity matters and brand enforcement.

• Talent services agreements, as well as, analyzing and advising on collective bargaining agreements.
